Chapter 46 Beneath the Oak, Shii ga Moto
Together with Kaoru, who happens to join him en route from Kyoto, Prince Niou gives a feast in Uji on his way back from a visit to Hatsuse Temple, and they enjoy a musical performance. Upon returning to Kyoto, Prince Niou receives a letter from The Eighth Prince and takes the chance to start exchanging letters with Nakanokimi, the younger sister of Oigimi. Meanwhile, Kaori feels more and more drawn to Oigimi. The Eighth Prince feels his life run out alone in his mountain temple and asks Kaoru and others to take charge of his daughters. Kaoru takes care of the life of the daughters in various ways, during which his love for Oigimi grows strong.
Historic site
¡Historic site of Shii ga Moto
Ochikata Jinja Shrine is the historic site of Shii ga Moto. Its enshrined deity is Suwa Myojin. It is also said to have enshrined the deity of Munakata.
